This course provides an in depth guide to the hazards and risks posed by today’s office environment. Particular focus is given to Slips and Trips, Fire, DSE and Manual Handling, which contribute the most to compromise safety in the office.

Learning outcomes

This course is designed to allow the learner to acquire an understanding of health and safety in the office environment and the knowledge of how to apply this information practically.

This will cover a number of elements and provide candidates with an understanding of:-

• The different types of risks and hazards that can occur in the office

• How to report defects and hazards

• How employers & employees can work together to help reduce the risk of accidents or injury

• The basics of using VDU’s safely and Manual Handling
